  Stipe - REM Tribute

Well I think it can be safe to say that these guys are probably the best REM tribute band in the UK. Actually they're probably the only one, if they aren't the only one they are the only one who tour quite a bit!!! Which is good, it takes the edge off while we wait for the European Tour to begin! So tonight was great. I took my Aunt (okay so perhaps not great) the band were very good though!! Highlights of tonight were the covers of LNY and Aftermath! Aftermath in particular!! Even though they said they didn't know the song that well(yet) it impressed me quite a bit!!! LNY as well was very well done. The rest of the setlist was mainly crowd pleasers, including what should now be the legendary SHP(mostly because of the audience participation). A friend of my Aunt's got on to the stage along with someone else to sing the Kate Pierson part, so far I think that tonights version has been the better one that I have witnessed. I even cought the bassist singing Shiny Happy Monsters instead of Shiny Happy People during the chorus. I liked that, that was funny!! Had to explain that to my Aunt though!! There was a bit of a balls up on LMR not once but twice!! Re-started the first time round and continued the second time round. It's not a major thing to happen, hell even The Boss fucks up now and then!!! Sill. It didn't harm tonights performance one jot!!!
In no order what so ever here is the set.

Everybody Hurts
End Of The World
Aftermath
Losing My Religion
Shiny Happy People(Monsters)
Orange Crush
Man On The Moon
Bad Day
Animal
Ignoreland
Leaving New York
Bang And Blame
Strange Currencies
Walk Unafraid
The One I Love
Great Beyond
The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite
She Just Wants To Be

I think that's everything!!

So anyways, in the end a great time was had by all!!

Hope to see you guys again in Cornwall soon!!

That was a crap review!!! I think next time I'll just stick to "These guys were great! Go see'um!!"
