| Stipe @ The Ryan Centre, Stranraer, September 29th 2006 | Review by Kathleen Milby | |||||||

From the first chords of the first song, Stipe had everyone's attention -
nobody was prepared for the likeness between them and REM - both in the
music and the mannerisms - they were absolutely fantastic.
The Ryan Centre made for a personal and intimate gig, everyone there enjoyed themselves a great deal, and enjoyed the performance. As far as tribute acts go, some sound nothing like who they are supposed to be, or don't make much of an effort. Not Stipe - they were absolutely spot on with absolutely every detail, they made an effort, they enjoyed performing, they made us believe that they were REM, we listened, mesmerized, to every song. When it was all over, I had the luck to meet the guys, who were all really nice and made the effort to talk to people, they really couldn't have been better. This band are truly amazing, everybody should go and see them, believe me, you'll be kicking yourself if you miss out!!!! Review by: Kathleen Milby email |
